Braun Multiquick 3 K650 Kitchen Machine 600 Watt (Kitchen) Warning: in January 2012 the picture for this product shows a Chopper attachment (top right) as one of the items that comes with the unit. It does NOT! Also, the unit shown in the picture is a CombiMax 3 instead of a Multiqick 3 (minor differences in the buttons and labelling). I hope Amazon reads this reviews and fixes it. Other than that, the K650 is a great machine. |

So far I've used this three ways: as a chopper, as a whisker, and as an immersion blender.The chopper worked fine but using the main handle attached to the chopper bowl is a little awkward. It almost doesn't seem worth using the chopper attachment -- just use a blender.The whisker was even more awkward and messy. I like having that as an option, though, since I don't own a stand-up mixer. Imagine whisking something at belly height but using a really long whisk -- not the easiest thing to do if you have short arms.The immersion blender was fantastic -- now this is the real tool of this kit. I made my first blended soup and it was perfect. You can easily control how much it blends and it works fast. Easy clean up to boot! My only complaint is about the blade attachments - not easy to get on and off and you have to use a wrench tool to remove the attachments. You'd think they'd make it a bit easier, but hey, at least the attachments don't fall off!I haven't tried the immersion blender for milkshakes or smoothies yet - but based on the soup experience, I'm looking forward to warmer weather and I imagine it'll be super easy.All in all, if you don't have much money but want to have a few handy kitchen tools, then this is a great option. If anything, the immersion blender is well worth the money and everything else is just a bonus!
